Soccer Game Preview: Okeechobee vs. South Fork

The Okeechobee Brahmans will square off against the South Fork Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Okeechobee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Port St. Lucie out 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Brahmans as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, South Fork kept a clean sheet against Somerset College Prep Academy last Friday. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by three goals or more this season.

Diego Guerrero was the driving force of South Fork's attack as he scored all three of South Fork's goals, bringing his season total up to 17 goals.

South Fork has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5-1 record this season. As for Okeechobee, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9-1.

Okeechobee might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from South Fork in their previous matchup back in December of 2020. Can Okeechobee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
