Grandview Heights has gone a perfect 8-0 against Bishop Ready recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bobcats will be playing at home against the Silver Knights at 5:15 p.m. Grandview Heights will be strutting in after a victory while Bishop Ready will be coming in after a defeat.
While Grandview Heights' win against Franklin Heights wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bobcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Falcons 5-3. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Michael Greer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Grandview Heights is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Greer was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Kinny Wilson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jack Clifford was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
Grandview Heights hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bishop Ready unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 6-1 to Bexley.
Bishop Ready saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Cheatham, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. AJ Caputo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Grandview Heights' victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Bishop Ready, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Grandview Heights took their win against Bishop Ready in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 21-8 score. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Silver Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
