After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westview, Phelps was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the East Ridge Warriors by a score of 79-66. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Phelps' win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for East Ridge, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Phelps and Magoffin County will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 30th. Phelps will be up against Magoffin County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 73.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for East Ridge, they will finish 2025 at home by hosting Johnson Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
