Westview hasn't had much luck against Bellevue East recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Westview will venture away from home to square off against the Bellevue East Chieftains.
Westview is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They fell 5-0 to Millard West.
Meanwhile, Bellevue East entered their tilt with Columbus on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Discoverers.
Brynn Friedrich was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Bellevue East didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with ten strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now tossed at least ten strikeouts in three consecutive games.
Westview's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Bellevue East, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
