After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wallace-Rose Hill, East Duplin was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the North Duplin Rebels with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-14.

Sophia Jones paced East Duplin's offense, picking up eight kills. Jones got some help from Kinsey Cave and her ten assists. Zoe Turner controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

East Duplin now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Duplin, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

East Duplin has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Richlands on the 19th. As for North Duplin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against James Kenan on the 20th.
