It was a good run, but Bloomer unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Richmond Tigers. The Blackhawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Brooklyn Willi paced Bloomer's offense, picking up four kills. Willi got some help from Brianna Jacobs and her nine assists.

Bloomer's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for New Richmond, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Bloomer has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against La Crosse Central on the 20th. As for New Richmond, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Eau Claire North on the 20th.
