Football Preview: Jarrell Cougars vs. Llano Yellowjackets
The Jarrell Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Llano Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jarrell will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Jarrell beat Caldwell 30-26.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Llano, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 20-13 win over Marble Falls on Friday.
Trey Mote had a dynamite game for Llano, rushing for 162 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance gave Mote a new career-high in rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayton Shaw, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown.
He was just one part of a punishing run game: Llano was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marble Falls only rushed for 88.
