If Southern Wake Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Chatham Charter, they should've done a better job of containing Peyton York. The Chatham Charter Knights walked away with a 36-29 win over the Southern Wake Academy Lions on Friday thanks in part to York, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. Those six boards gave her a new career-high.

Chatham Charter has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 48.6% in those games and 20.2% outside of them. As for Southern Wake Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Chatham Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-25 victory against River Mill on the 12th. As for Southern Wake Academy, they will take on Woods Charter at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th.
