Volleyball Game Preview: Durand-Arkansaw Panthers vs. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs

The Durand-Arkansaw Panthers will square off against the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Durand-Arkansaw is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since October 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Spring Valley, falling 3-0.

While Durand-Arkansaw was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14, 25-22.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Clear Lake.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-22, 25-12.

Durand-Arkansaw's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, their loss dropped their record down to 18-18.

Durand-Arkansaw skirted past Chetek-Weyerhaeuser 2-1 when the teams last played back in August of 2021. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
