Baseball Game Preview: Albert Gallatin Colonials vs. West Mifflin Titans

Albert Gallatin is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They are taking a road trip to face off against the West Mifflin Titans at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Albert Gallatin came up short against Connellsville on Friday, falling 18-3.

Albert Gallatin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Wilson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Wilson a new career-high in RBI (two).

Meanwhile, West Mifflin came up short against Brighton on Monday and fell 11-7. Even though they lost, the Titans' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Jayvon Thompson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Hunter Horne, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for West Mifflin and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Albert Gallatin, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.
