Volleyball Recap: Lathrop Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Lathrop picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders by a score of 2-0.

Gabriel Faalii paced Lathrop's offense, picking up six kills. Faalii got some help from Edmund Balugo and his 11 assists. Faalii was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Lathrop has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Archbishop Riordan and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Coming up, Lathrop is taking a road trip to square off against Livingston at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archbishop Riordan, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Burlingame at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. Burlingame will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Archbishop Riordan surely won't give up without a fight.
