Baseball Recap: McComb Comes Up Short

McComb extended their losing streak to nine on Saturday, dropping them down to 7-13. They lost 13-1 to the Greene County Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Kenmar Page made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

As for Greene County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-7. Considering they have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

On Greene County's side, Cam Pipkins was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Zaine Moody was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

While McComb had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
