Basketball Recap: Ezra Bell Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Summit Academy

There's no place like home for Hillcrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They took down the Summit Academy Bears 69-51 on Tuesday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Hillcrest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ezra Bell led the charge by putting up 18 points and four steals. That's the most steals Bell has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Bradburn, who put up 15 points and six steals.

Hillcrest was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Summit Academy still got an impressive performance from Preston Kelly, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points. Honor Cendejas also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

Hillcrest's record is now 2-3. As for Summit Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Hillcrest has already played their next matchup, a 77-68 loss against Riverton on the 12th. As for Summit Academy, they will head out to take on Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
