Basketball Recap: Fowler Comes Up Short

Fowler's last matchup with Orosi could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Redcats were dealt a 70-32 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals. The game marked the Redcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

It was another big night for Michael Corrales, who went 9-for-17 on his way to 28 points for Orosi. The Cardinals are undefeated when Corrales posts 15 or more points, but 4-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Palacios, who shot 63% from the field en route to 12 points and seven boards.

Fowler's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Orosi, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Fowler will take on Averroes in a tournament on the 26th. As for Orosi, they will be taking part in a tournament against Farmersville at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
