Balboa had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 70-69 W against the Bethel Academy Blazers.

Balboa's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bethel Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Balboa won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wilson Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Balboa will need to watch out since Wilson Academy has now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Bethel Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Varsity Opponent on December 5.
