Softball Game Preview: Sarasota Christian Blazers vs. Real Life Christian Academy Raptors

The Sarasota Christian Blazers will take on the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors in a tournament on Friday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sarasota Christian's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Stephen's Episcopal on Tuesday. The Blazers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Real Life Christian Academy entered their tilt with Wildwood on Thursday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Daniella Delgadillo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Rylee Lyon was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Anderson, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four RBI and one run.

Real Life Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 17 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Real Life Christian Academy pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Sarasota Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
