Football Recap: Walther Christian Academy Broncos vs. Christ the King Gladiators
Walther Christian Academy couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 44-0 loss at the hands of the Christ the King Gladiators. The Broncos just can't catch a break and have now endured nine defeats in a row dating back to last season.
Christ the King can attribute much of their success to Scottie House, who rushed for 116 yards on only eight carries. House got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible62 yards.
Walther Christian Academy will challenge Scott County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Christ the King, they will square off against Aurora Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
