Volleyball Recap: Reed-Custer Takes a Loss

Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Manteno Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-1, 25-18.

Manteno can attribute much of their success to Leah Donnelly, who had five digs and two aces. Donnelly has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Reed-Custer's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Manteno, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Coming up, Reed-Custer will face off against Pontiac at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Manteno, they will challenge Wilmington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
