Soccer Recap: Bixby Victorious

While Bixby's victory against Westmoore wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans won by a goal and slipped past the Jaguars 2-1. Given Bixby's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Westmoore are ranked 42nd) , the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bixby's win bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Westmoore, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Bixby will square off against Muskogee at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bixby will be up against Muskogee's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.75 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Westmoore, they will face off against Bartlesville at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
