Softball Recap: Oasis Takes a Loss

Oasis fell victim to Cape Coral and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cape Coral Seahawks. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kyra Cavender spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Oasis saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn McGee, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Oasis now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Cape Coral, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oasis will challenge Gateway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cape Coral, they will take on Bonita Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
