Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin). They walked away with a 23-16 victory over the Monroe Hornets on Friday. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Franklin was led to victory by Connor Monk and Ryan Michael. Monk rushed for 58 yards and one score on only six carries, while Michael rushed for 40 yards.

Franklin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will welcome Bellbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Monroe, they will host Eaton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
