Sierra Canyon waltzed into their match on Friday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Coronado Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trailblazers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2019.

Hanna McGinest paced Sierra Canyon's offense, picking up nine kills. McGinest got some help from Lucky Fasavalu and her 17 assists. Fasavalu was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Sierra Canyon's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Coronado, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-6 record this season.

Sierra Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Poly Prep Country Day on the 19th. As for Coronado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Etiwanda on the 20th.
