Softball Recap: Romeoville Spartans vs. Oswego Panthers
Romeoville extended their losing streak to seven on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-14 in the process. They came up short against the Oswego Panthers, falling 11-1. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
Delany Giacomo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Coming up, Romeoville is taking a road trip to face off against Plainfield South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oswego, they will host Lincoln-Way East at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Griffins' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
