Basketball Recap: Bolton Bears vs. Marksville Tigers
The Bolton Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 60-33 win over Marksville. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Bolton has managed all season.
When it comes to explaining why Marksville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Vanessa Francisco. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Francisco is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Tamia Porter was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Bolton and bumps their season record up to 8-16. As for Marksville, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Bolton will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Giants at 6:00 p.m. Jena and the Bears are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Marksville, they will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
