Basketball Game Preview: Olympia Titans vs. Calvary Christian Academy Lions

Two dominant guards in Ava Pazos and Samantha Lecas are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Olympia Titans will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Calvary Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Olympia came up short against Lake Brantley on Thursday, falling 51-27. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Olympia had strong showings from Pazos, who posted 11 points in addition to seven steals and six assists, and Tanisha Carter, who had eight points along with 11 steals and eight boards. Pazos is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 18 games she's played dating back to last season. Tahge Lowe also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 66 points the game before, Calvary Christian Academy was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They were dealt a 70-8 loss at the hands of DeLand. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Calvary Christian Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Olympia, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
