Softball Recap: Marais des Cygnes Valley Takes a Loss

Marais des Cygnes Valley lost against Horton on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Marais des Cygnes Valley came up short against Horton, falling 17-10. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Akyra Traver led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times she's played. Mady Rose also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Marais des Cygnes Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Horton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Marais des Cygnes Valley will take on Mission Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Horton, they will welcome Pleasant Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
