Putnam County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 65-32 victory over the Morgan County Bulldogs. The War Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Morgan County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Chloe Thompson, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addisyn Freeman, who had ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Morgan County fell to 4-1.

Coming up, Putnam County will challenge Hancock Central at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Morgan County, they will take on Chattahoochee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
