Soccer Recap: Centennial Triumphs

Centennial kept a clean sheet against Bakersfield on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bakersfield Drillers, sneaking past 1-0. For the Golden Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Drillers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Centennial's one-goal win came courtesy of Xavier Lopez, who's now up to two this season.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1. As for Bakersfield, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3-3.

Centennial has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Garces Memorial on the 14th. As for Bakersfield, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clovis East at 9:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025.
