Volleyball Recap: Bethel Christian Academy Trojans vs. Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors

Bethel Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors by a score of 3-2. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Conquerors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2020.

Bethel Christian Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-14, 22-25, 25-14, 15-7.

Selma Scott was her usual excellent self, getting nine digs, five kills, and five aces for Jacksonville Christian Academy. Scott is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Albaugh, who had seven kills, five digs, and four aces.

Bethel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Bethel Christian Academy will welcome Hilltop Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacksonville Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
