Softball Recap: Westover Takes a Loss

Westover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to the Harnett Central Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wolverines were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Westover saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydni Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Westover's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Harnett Central, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Westover will host Harnett Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harnett Central, they will head out on the road to take on Midway at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Harnett Central's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
