Football Recap: Mae Jemison Comes Up Short on the Road Against Athens + How To Watch

Mae Jemison had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Athens Golden Eagles on Friday, falling 32-7. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Xavier Edwards and Damarcus Malone. Edwards rushed for 52 yards and a pair of scores while Malone rushed for 44 yards and one TD.

Mae Jemison will look to defend their home field on Friday against Huntsville at 7:00 p.m. As for Athens, they will venture away from home to face off against Buckhorn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
