On Saturday, the Vanguard Academy Knights narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Thunderbirds 3-2.

Brayson Taylor paced Vanguard Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Taylor got some help from Ben Kingston and his 29 assists. Finally, Ryker Jackson kept Vanguard Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
