Basketball Game Preview: Grossmont Foothillers vs. Patrick Henry Patriots + How To Watch

The Grossmont Foothillers will square off against the Patrick Henry Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Grossmont put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Classical Academy 58-34.

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montgomery.

Grossmont will have to contain Isaac Weatherred as he made an impact in Patrick Henry's last game. He dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds. Weatherred is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last three games he's played. Alexander Newlands was another key player, putting up ten points and eight boards.

Grossmont's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Patrick Henry, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Grossmont couldn't quite finish off Patrick Henry in their previous matchup back in November of 2021 and fell 42-40. Can the Foothillers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
