Baseball Recap: Cary Academy Comes Up Short

Cary Academy had lost five straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-10 to make it six. They came up short against the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Chargers were not able to get on the board.

As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

For North Raleigh Christian Academy's part, they let Trent Baker and Quin Patton run wild. Baker went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs, while Patton went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Patton has posted since back in February. Jayden Morales was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
