Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Now 11-1 over Last 12 Games

There's no place like home for Sacred Heart, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Auburn Bulldogs by a score of 43-36 on Tuesday. Given the Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sacred Heart is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Auburn, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart has already played their next game (against Pawnee City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Auburn will venture away from home to face off against Nebraska City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
