Football Recap: Liam Fernandez Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Northeast + How To Watch

After losing to Northeast the last time they met, Southeast decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Seminoles snuck past the Vikings with a 26-21 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Seminoles.

Southeast's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liam Fernandez, who threw for 132 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 66 yards on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards Fernandez has posted since back in August. Another rusher making a difference was Marvelous Jackson, who rushed for 84 yards and one score.

Southeast's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Northeast, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast will host Aubrey Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Seminoles will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.63 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Northeast, they will welcome Largo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Packers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
