Recap: Simon Tech Huskies vs. WISH Academy Owls
The Simon Tech Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 91-20 defeat at the hands of WISH Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Simon Tech in their matchups with WISH Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Dawit Kebede was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Enoch Tessema, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Simon Tech's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for WISH Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Simon Tech will head out on the road to challenge Animo Watts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for WISH Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Animo Venice at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Animo Venice is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
