League recap: Bridge-Gadd throws longest pass in league this season for Paradise Valley

Fans got a thrill when Daniel Bridge-Gadd and Jordan Brown connected against Chaparral. The longest such play in II Section VII this season, the connection resulted in 81 yards.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, the Firebirds beat Paradise Valley 58-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for Chaparral.

Chandler Fox and Elijah Castro gave David Huffine's team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Fox threw for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Castro ran for 157 yards. Tyler Whiley also contributed to the rushing game with 60 yards on the ground.

The Trojans' Bridge-Gadd and Brown have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Bridge-Gadd has thrown for 2,385 yards this season, while Brown has 66 catches for 940 yards. The Firebirds' Castro leads the league in rushing yards with 1,022.

So far this year, he has garnered 66 catches for 940 yards.

In 141 carries Max Vankempen has accumulated 972 yard this year.

Paradise Valley fell to Chaparral 58-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bridge-Gadd was a bright spot for Donnie Yantis' team, as he threw for 182 yards and 1 touchdown in the loss.
