Soccer Game Preview: Cicero Prep Academy vs. Fountain Hills

The Cicero Prep Academy Centurions will head out to face off against the Fountain Hills Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Cicero Prep Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Wednesday, they were much more limited against NFL Yet Academy on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Centurions it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fountain Hills). Everything went their way against North Phoenix Preparatory Academy on Tuesday as Fountain Hills made off with a 7-4 victory. With that win, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 2.8 goals per game.

They hit North Phoenix Preparatory Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tyler Griggs (4), Mason Meyen (2), and Jake Harned.

Fountain Hills' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Cicero Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
