Basketball Game Preview: Westerville South Wildcats vs. Lincoln Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Westerville South came up short against St. Francis DeSales and fell 62-54. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Stallions are ranked 68th).

Meanwhile, Lincoln beat Grove City 46-35 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Westerville South, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Westerville South came up short against Lincoln in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 78-69. Can Westerville South avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
