Basketball Recap: Miamisburg Takes a Loss

Miamisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Waynesville Spartans, falling 56-34. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Spartans are ranked 66th).

Miamisburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Waynesville, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Miamisburg will welcome Northmont at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Miamisburg is facing Northmont at the right time seeing as Northmont is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Waynesville, they will venture away from home to square off against Madison at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Waynesville will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: Madison will have lost six straight heading into Saturday's game.
