Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask All S). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Evergreen Plainsmen 49-21. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Saints just coasted through the last quarter.

Gavin Beard was his usual excellent self, throwing for 339 yards and three TDs while completing 88.5% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. All S' leading receiver Hudson Reasor was Beard's top target yet again, picking up 90 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

All S didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Keyon Adkins and Donavan Hollis. All S got some further help from Kingston Beyer: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (3.5 for loss).

All S' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Evergreen, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

All S will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Grapevine Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Evergreen, they will face off against Kelso at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Plainsmen their first taste of in-conference action this season.
