Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wartburg Central). They came out on top against the Jellico Blue Devils by a score of 62-51 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Myrah Hood continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 of 19 on her way to 21 points along with seven boards and five assists. Jordyn Pemberton also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Wartburg Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jellico only posted seven assists.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kendall Osborn, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Osborn a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Kloey Evans, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 boards.

Wartburg Central's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Jellico, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Wartburg Central will face off against Concord Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Jellico has already played their next match, a 60-42 defeat against Sunbright on the 17th.
