Baseball Preview: Amherst Falcons vs. Menominee Indian Eagles        
        
		
            Amherst is  a perfect 10-0 against Menominee Indian since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to  challenge the Eagles  at 4:30  p.m. Amherst will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Amherst duked it out with Iola-Scandinavia on Monday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp  10-3 win. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive  victory against them.

 AJ O'Brien was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Logan Hintz was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Ethan Peskie, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Menominee Indian was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They lost  24-3 to Weyauwega-Fremont.
 Menominee Indian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Daniel King, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.  Caleb Grignon also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
 Amherst's record now sits at 10-5. As for Menominee Indian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
 Amherst took their  win against Menominee Indian  when the teams last played  back in April by a conclusive  12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
