Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Statesboro's Fourth in Last Five Outings

The Statesboro Blue Devils were able to grind out a solid win over the Georgia School for Innovation & Classics Patriots on Wednesday, taking the game 2-0.

Olyana Deckard paced Statesboro's offense, picking up nine kills. Deckard got some help from Callie Simmons and her 15 assists. Kennedy Melton controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Statesboro has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. As for Georgia School for Innovation & Classics, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Statesboro will welcome Glynn Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Georgia School for Innovation & Classics, they will venture away from home to square off against Burke County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
