Basketball Game Preview: Nebraska Lutheran Knights vs. Cross County Cougars

The Nebraska Lutheran Knights will square off against the Cross County Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Nebraska Lutheran: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Cross County has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Nebraska Lutheran saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They walked away with a 59-46 win over Hampton.

Nebraska Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lukas Worster, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points along with five boards and three steals. Worster has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Hoehler, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Cross County beat McCool Junction 59-50 on Friday.

Cross County has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Nebraska Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Nebraska Lutheran took a serious blow against Cross County in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 69-29. Thankfully for Nebraska Lutheran, Ashton Seim (who went 6 for 10 en route to 12 points in addition to six steals and five boards) won't be suiting up this time.
