Baseball Recap: Cuyahoga Heights Comes Up Short

If Cuyahoga Heights was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Lincoln West on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Wolves took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairview Warriors on Thursday. The Red Wolves haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Cuyahoga Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Fairview, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cuyahoga Heights will square off against Independence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairview, they will take on Clearview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Clippers have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
