Soccer Game Preview: Lake Nona vs. Freedom

Lake Nona has won four straight games at home, while Freedom has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Lake Nona Lions will host the Freedom Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Lake Nona has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 24 goals over their last three contests.

Lake Nona's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed back in December of 2024. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Lake Howell. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Lake Howell from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Gabriel Campos led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Freedom unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Horizon.

Lake Nona has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-0-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. As for Freedom, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-1.
