Mt. Zion Prep Academy skates past Winston-Salem Christian with ease

The Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Winston-Salem Christian on the road to the tune of 71-23. With Mt. Zion Prep Academy ahead 42-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Mt. Zion Prep Academy was led to victory by Makyiah Ward and Jniya Weaver. Ward scored 15 points, while Weaver scored 18 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Weaver has scored at least 25% of Mt. Zion Prep Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Kaeylnn Allen, who scored nine points.
Mt. Zion Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Winston-Salem Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Mt. Zion Prep Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Varsity Opponent at 12:15 p.m. on December 22nd. Winston-Salem Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on NC GBB Academy National at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
