Basketball Game Preview: Augusta Prep Cavaliers vs. Aquinas Fightin' Irish + How To Watch

The Augusta Prep Cavaliers will head out on the road to square off against the Aquinas Fightin' Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Augusta Prep has three straight wins, Aquinas has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

While Augusta Prep's victory against Alleluia Community wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavaliers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 win over the Angels on Tuesday.

Among those leading the charge was Austin Luke, who posted 21 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chandler Ardis, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, Aquinas was beaten by Hephzibah 71-32 on Tuesday.

The victory got Augusta Prep back to even at 3-3. As for Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Augusta Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Aquinas when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 37-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
